KVPG has bagged a hit talk right from the first show but trade pundits wondered if it would set the cash registers ringing like Bhale Bhale Magadivoy did! Though KVPG is a theoretical hit, trade pundits have a different story.
According to latest reports, KVPG is a hit for producers and a flop for distributors. It was made on a budget of Rs 14 Crore and sold out to the distributors for over Rs 16 Crore. According to the latest trade reports, KVPG collected only Rs 12 Crore (share) and is running with a deficit of more than Rs 3 Crore.
If the distributors have to enter safe zone then KVPG should run consistently for two more weeks and with new films hitting the screens this weekend, KVPG is only going to have a fat chance. Hope Nani’s upcoming films make the distributors happy.
